Increasing population a major problem

Whether you are in a metro station, shopping mall, railway station,bus stop, hospital etc. We see all these places are overcrowded. This is a clear cut indication of over population in the country. As per Indian census,carried out in 2011 the population of India was more than billion. That's make India is the second most populous country in the world after china. As per some studies reveals that by 2030 India will surpass china and become world's most populous nation. 

* Causes of over population :- 

- high birth rate 
- illiteracy 
- no awareness about family planning among people
- illegal migration.ex:- from neighbour countries
- lack of population policy
- improve in life expectancy 

* Impact of over population :- 

- increasing unemployment rate 
- unequal distribution of income 
- over population leads to poverty 
- shortage of resources 
- deforestation increases
- pressure on existing infrastructure
- communal violence increases

* Steps to control population :- 

- improve education system and include 
Sex education 
- encouraging male sterilisation
- spread awareness among people to adopt one child or may two child policy 
- govt should make some better population control policies 
- In hospitals free distribution of contraceptives to promote spacing between child's. 

However, overpopulation is a major problem for any country because of overpopulation over the years many economic,social, problems arises like unemployment,poverty,hunger etc. It also adversely impacted on India's other core economic goals like zero hunger. If country wants to fulfill any of it's goal then it is necessary to pay attention on increasing population of a country and make some effective policies regarding this.
